We kindly invite you to the seventh National Public Employment Exhibition and Fair organised by the Ministry of Interior. Public employment in Hungary is state-subsidised employment where people who are temporarily or permanently unable to find work in the primary labour market are paid for the work they do. In recent years, public employment has also fulfilled regional development and rural development tasks, contributing significantly to reducing disparities between regions through job creation.
Since 2013, the Hungarian Government has been supporting the formation of social cooperatives, which can provide additional employment for people with work experience who leave public employment, on the basis of the value-added programmes of public employment.
The opportunity to exhibit at the fair is an acknowledgement for the public employers and social cooperatives, a motivation to continue their activities in public employment, and an opportunity to introduce the products produced in the supported programmes to more and more domestic and foreign consumers.
The event features 80 exhibitors showcasing the results of public employment programmes, providing an opportunity to get to know the municipalities, their products and to taste and buy local goods.
Our traditionally child-friendly programmes include folk dancing, popular music and children's concerts with well-known performers, a performance by the Emergency Police Orchestra, and a dog show by the Police on both days.
